Venturing Victoria 2: Sovereign Hills & Ballarat

Another tourist attraction in Victoria is in Ballarat's Sovereign Hill. It brings back the history from 1850s, the gold rush era! Is all about the buildings, the structures and the life of those tough days...
The entrance...

This place has restructured of the olden days..... Is not only about the artifacts, but there there is also people dressing in that period costumes wandering around and carrying out their daily routine of those days. P/s the old guy in the suite and crosier is actually the doctor.

Venturing Victoria - The Great Ocean Road

I am loving this scene... Enjoying the magnificent view and feeling the touch of the chilling breeze.

This, is one of the view from the renown destination, named The Great Ocean Road, Victoria. There is 0 reception throughout the journey, and 0 commercial stop. It took us ages just to get to reach Princetown to get a meal/pizza (P/s: Didnt meet any prince though XD). Along the way, awed by the scenic view of the farm, a view that hard to seen in the urban town.

*Cut short*
Finally, we reached the Port Campbell National Park, the place where the famous 12 Apostles as well as the   London Arch.

‘Racial biases in recruitment by accounting firms: The case of international Chinese applicants in Australia’就能证实了A洲在聘请这A门科系时候真的有歧视啦!!

"A success story such as that of Vivian Tse indicates clearly that, however unfair it may seem, luck and “being in the right place at the right time” are extremely important determinants of future success.

Before the adventure begins...

Spring has arrived and when I thought of spring, I relate it to the sea of blooming flowers. My initial idea was to visit Tasmania instead. But thanks to the power of social media, I saw one of my friends sharing about Malaysia Festival in Adelaide! Instantly, I decided to head to Adelaide, to attend the festival and visit my friends! On the other hand, my plan to go to central Australia arise due to the intention of going Adelaide. I was supposed to go with another girl but she have to work and left me alone. Do I want to give up the trip because of that? Another friend of mine did advised me not to go (being brought up in a society with not-so-secured-society, so safety is always a concern.) but thinking that I might not have a chance to go in future (I can go in summer but... HELLO~ over 40 degree Celsius? I will faint!), I just make all the payment one shot, from flight to tour, leaving me no room to retreat from this upcoming journey.

I was being told that there is flight promotion and Jetstar flight to Adelaide was only $89. But after adding this and that, service fees and insurance, it totaled about $113. The flight was on Thursday and I only start packing on Tuesday midnight/Wednesday morning. Is my first time travelling alone to a foreign state in a foreign country. Right after my Adelaide visit, I will be travelling off to Alice Spring for an outback adventure. So the whole packing process isnt easy (to me). I have to grab my sleeping bag, insect repellent, hat, sunscreen and also start worrying about the liquid limitation (which I just cleared about after the trip LOL). Oh, did I not mentioned that I have not do any of the research yet? I did the research (on where to visit/eat/tour) at the same time I was packing my luggage/backpack.

A few days prior the flight, I only realized that the flight departs at 0645, I then realized that I might need to overnight at the airport @.@ I am actually nervous yet excited. I was wondering should I just make it an adventure or shall I play safe? I ended up put up with my nervousness and overnight at one of friends house in city. My friend's mom was worried about my safety and volunteered to drive me to airport. I felt bad about it, especially we only slept for 2-3 hours. (We have been chatting all night long...)

After checking in airport using mobile (I feel so 'ulu' haha, first time using technology gadget to check it XDXD), I had my most expensive breakfast in the airport and off I go!!!

I am so blur when I arrived, not sure what I should do to hop on bus, where should I get the ticket, where is the bus stop? Blindly heading to the airport entrance, saw the familiar bus number (which I checked on Google map), and just off I go! From Adelaide Info Centre website, it state that interstate full time student can obtain confession ticket by applying at the centre itself. I am really glad to know that, after spending so much on Sydney transportation expense. So once I arrived, the first thing I thought is to faster apply for the temporary concession ticket. I took all the hassle to reach to the Info Centre but the officer said
Well, to get this temporary concession card, we need your letter from your uni stating that how long you will be staying here and what is your purpose...we need to take a photo of you and you need to pay $10 for processing fees.... it will take few days to process....
=.= Why dont they just post it on the website at the first place? By the time I applied and got the card, I dont think I even get to use it because I fly off already... Forget about this! Let the adventure begins XDXD

Ohoh, HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM!!! I really thinks that I could skype with you on your birthday... but my prompt decisions made me fly off during your birthday ^o^" I shall get you lots of picture for your birthday~~

  1. 从SYD - Alice Spring - 用Mobile Check in
  2. Alice Spring - Ayers Rock - 用Kiosk Check in
  3. Ayers Rock - SYD - 用Mobile Check in 打印BoardingPass
  4. Ayers Rock - SYD - Counter Check in
Mission Complete!
